Location

This hotel was formerly known as Jurys Kensington.

Located in South Kensington, the Kensington Hotel is surrounded by stylish cafes, bistros and eateries.  This is an affluent area – in the three minutes it takes to walk to the tube station you should see several Porsches, Ferraris and the odd Maserati.  If this doesn’t satisfy the boy racer in you then just have a look in the 'Lamborghini London' showroom window at the top of the road.
The Albert Hall, the Victoria & Albert Museum, Harrods, Hyde Park, Olympia and Earl’s Court Exhibition Centres are all within easy reach of the Jurys Kensington Hotel.

Hotel / Room Information

Entering The Kensington Hotel for the first time is like walking through the doors of a lovingly restored London mansion or modern-day private members’ club.
Within its large stone-floored entrance hall, a velvet-lined alcove draws you to the red marble reception desk.  Once greeted, you will discover the period drawing rooms of what were once individual Regency-style townhouses, with bay windows, working fireplaces, parquet floors and original art.

Throughout this luxury London hotel you will find period detail and an eclectic range of spaces featuring luxurious fabrics, opulent lighting and original 19th and 20th century furniture.  Upstairs, the varied ceiling heights and volumes of The Kensington Hotel’s bedrooms create the sense of staying in a private house.

The 150 guest rooms at The Kensington Hotel, many with full-height windows and views across London city’s Royal Borough, offer a range of heights, volumes and design schemes, while bathrooms are lined in a selection of marbles.

Superior Rooms
The beautifully appointed Superior Rooms include 300-count bed linen, ultra-plush duvets, fluffy bathrobes and slippers, a 37-inch LCD TV, media hub, complimentary wireless internet access, Temple Spa aromatherapy bathroom products and a daily turndown service.

Deluxe Rooms (at a supplement)
Welcome to your South Kensington pied-à-terre. A stay in one of the Deluxe Rooms offers all the indulgences of a Superior Room in a larger, sumptuous space in which to enjoy added luxuries such as a separate shower and a Nespresso coffee machine.

Restaurant / Bar

Enjoy an à la carte breakfast or a delicious lunch or dinner dish from the international menu in the classic country club-style surroundings of Aubrey, The Kensington Hotel Restaurant.  Or relax in our glamorous cocktail bar at the heart of the ground floor with a snack, refreshment and a friend.
Alternatively, if you’re going out in South Kensington for the evening, check out our recommended London restaurants, nightspots and entertainment in this part of the city.

Aubrey
With leather seating, parquet floors and chrome chandeliers, Aubrey offers memorable surroundings for memorable dining. Treat yourself to a Great British Breakfast, equally great porridge or something a little more continental to set you up for your day in London.
For lunch, dinner or a snack, choose from the restaurant’s eclectic menu, blending fresh British fare with flavours from around the world.

Cocktail Bar
The exotic décor of the Kensington’s adjoining cocktail bar – with slate floors, distressed mirrors, timber-clad walls and a blue glass ceiling – creates a cosmopolitan setting in which to enjoy, well, a Cosmopolitan, Metropolitan, mineral water or whatever takes your fancy.
